Education for Democracy Foundation announced a new contest of the RITA Programme -Region in Transition. The submission of the aplications will be till 14 march.
The RITA program, created in 2000, is an initiative of the Polish-American Freedom Foundation, implemented by the Education for Democracy Foundation. Its objective is to support democratic and free-market transformation in the countries of Eastern Europe, the Caucasus and Central Asia, mainly by sharing Polish experience in this sphere.
The Program encompasses the following countries: Armenia, Azerbaidjan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgystan, Moldova, Russia, Ukraine, Tadjikistan.
Eligible for co-financing are non-governmental organizations registered in Poland, and the project must refer to co-operation with legal entities and persons from the above countries.
The scope of the contest is to select the best joint projects carried out by partners from Poland and at least one of the eligible countries.
The projects should contribute to democratic and free-market transition in the respective countries by sharing Polish experience and may refer to the following fields:
• social problems;
• promoting entrepreneurship;
• cultural heritage;
• developing and supporting local self-governance;
• developing independent and modern media.
IMPORTANT! Applications can be submitted only by Polish organizations cooperating with partners in Republic of Moldova.
The Information Center for Local Authorities can assist you in finding a partner only in case if you have a project idea, preliminary budget as well as you can clearly state your expectations regarding the potential partner in Poland: profile of your potential partner, region (if applicable) as well as description of how the Polish partner can be implied into the project.
